H&B centerstand install

Any with a few tips before I start the install on an 07 Wee? Does one need to put the bike on a lift to install the center stand? A little advice would be greatly appreciated. Mike in Fremont, Ca.

I installed the OEM centerstand so I don't have any specific pointers but mine was pretty straight forward. I had mine on the side stand the whole time. I lubed up the pivot points pretty good and wiped the excess off when all done. The hardest part for me was attaching the springs. I tried a spring puller and a long narrow screwdriver without success. Then went to the cord/rope trick and it worked fine. I used parachute cord but others have used boot laces and small diameter rope. Connect the spring at the top, loop the cord over the bottom hook and pull back, used my toe to raise and lower the centerstand to the proper position. Took a few tries to coordinate everything. Some choice words seem to help too.

Got it on after doing the mental picture. real easy to access the bolt heads for torque. The large flat head screwdriver worked great. First time the springs just slipped on. thanks for the moral support.
