"Sport" bike kit for Strom 650?

Anyone know where I can see pics of a sport bike kit for the 650? I heard there was such a thing for it... Suppose to make the 650 look more like a sport bike or something. Anyone?

If you are referring to the lower fairing kit for the 650 there are several links and pictures on this forum somewhere. Try a search.

Wow! I never heard it described like that, but are you talking about these?

That thread has links to others that should answer all your questions, assuming these are what you're talking about...

Trying to get everything picked out for when I buy my first bike (which hopefully will be within the next few months). I'm riding a friends new strom until I get my own.

The sport bike kit for the DL650 is a trade in for an SV650S.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
See https://www.stromtrooper.com/general-...nicknames.html

If its your first bike you might be better off shopping for crash bars instead. These things have a tendency to fall over and the pretty plastic doesn't fare too well.

Yea, I thought about that... I'll have some experience riding one before I actually own one (currently riding my friends '07 650). I'll probably buy soft panniers at first, then the lower fairings! At least I will be able to use storage.

Well, tweaked, you could do much worse than a 'strom for your first bike, a 650, that is. Good choice!

I hope you plan to take the MSF course, yes?
