A note about stainless steel footpegs...

I installed some nice IMS Superstock stainless steel footpegs. They're 2" wide by 3" long.

I noticed right away that they minimized the space between the pegs and the shifter and brake pedals.

The center of the peg is in the same position, but the added width places the ball of your foot further forward.

I decided to return them and ordered the Moose's with the 1/2" drop and rearset. I believe this will make up the difference, and allow the same effective room for my boots as the stock pegs.

Has anyone noticed this? And, someone who has the Moose pegs with the offset, any comments?

Thanks!

Looks like you might be the first one here to try those offset footpegs. I have wondered myself how those might work, do they actually give more leg room and maybe more relaxed knee angle.
Keep us posted.

"Available with 1/2" rear offset to make more space for taller riders."

If it's 1/2" rear offset, shouldn't that be more for riders with larger boots, rather than taller? It doesn't say anything about a "drop". Or am I missing something?

You're absolutely right. I re-read it and realized there was no drop. It was me who missed something! :-)

I wish they were 1/2" drop, too...
