Angry wind shield

hey folks i would like to make anouther post about a reoccuring problem im haveing with my givi shield and lower faring right between the headlights on my 03 1000 the plastic faring pice right between the lights keeps bustin at the narrowist point can anyone tell me how to keep this from happening or even why thx

Do you have a picture? If you have the Givi on the higest setting and it's large enough, you might be caused by wind. Kind of like if you wiggle a piece of plastic back and forth it will eventually snap.

The windscreen mount is bolted to the steel subframe that also holds the cowl pieces on the K4s and later. It looks like the windscreen mounting on the K2 and K3 is all plastic. Maybe your problem is one of the reasons for the change. The plastic can't handle the forces of a larger windshield.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
