Devil exhaust

I have recently installed a carbon fiber Devil exhaust on my '04 DL650 and need to let everyone know you don't have to wait for Two bros to finish, devil exhaust is readily available through www.devilbikes.com or any local dealer that is a dealer for devil. You can get them in carbon fiber or stainless, you do need to cut for installation. The exhaust looks great but the best thing about it is the removable baffle, if you like to be heard take it out, of you don't put it back in and your back to stock sound level.[/img]

I have Remus Gran Prix cans on my DL1000. Medium Loud, no silencers, very nice mellow sound - I love them!

So I bought a Remus Revolution can for my AN650. This model takes the "removeable silencer" approach. NOT as nice. With the baffle in it sounds almost stock. I bought the can so the AN650 would NOT sound stock. With the baffle out, it is louder than a straight pipe Harley - very harsh sound - I couldn't stand it. I had to modify the silencer. I cut off the back 3" which was the most restricted part & reinstalled the silencer. Fortunately, I got a sound I can live with - but nowhere near as nice as the unsilenced Gran Prix's. So after this experience, I am leery about the "removeable silencer" type of cannister. I would want to know how the Devil can sounds with the silencer out. If I didn't like it - I'd buy a different brand.

The other issue with the Remus Revolution was that with the silencer removed, it left a HUGE opening. Fattest rodent in the World could crawl in there. Also, since the can is upswept, I was concerned about excessive water getting in when washing or parked in the rain.

I can't say for sure that the Devil can will have the same issues as the Remus Revolution - but I suspect that it might.
