Rifle case for my WEE

Does anyone know of a case to mount on the bike to carry my Remington 700 on my WEE?
I am a long range rifle shooter, and would like to ride the WEE to the shooting field. It would also be easier to check targets on the bike than walk 750 yards to and from the targets. I was thinking on some kind of ATV case, but was not sure how to mount it.

Sportsman's has a real nice one with a screw on/off bracket that would easily mount to a saddle bag rack. I'll see if I still have the name on mine. I haven't mounted mine because I was afraid any vibration on the bike might mess with the cross hairs on the scope.

A friend mounted his scabbarb to the forks on his 80GS for the trip to Alaska.

I'm an LR shooter too, chances are your LR rig might be quite heavy so I have to be sympathetic with my advice. I'm shooting a custom barreled M700 SA with a 20" Hvy or #7 profiled Shilen Select Match in .260 Rem for my 800 yard/meter fun. It's mounted up in an AICS V 2.0 so it will be quite heavy for any ATV / Quad rifle brackets.

Up here in Ontario, many hunters just love their Quads or ATV rigs. Many, many combinations of U shaped rifle brackets that bolt on handlebars (easier to see and control) or possibly on your rear rack (across, but hard to see)

Royal Distributing here in Ontario has internet presence and they have bazillions of Quad rifle adapters...

Good luck with the project!

Cheers,
Barney

The rifle is a Rem 700 in .308 mounted in a HS Precision stock and 10 round mag. It weighs about 17 lbs with scope mounted. Once I find a case for it, it will be mounted to the bike. It will make trips back and forth to the target stands much easier.

It would be great to see pictures of the rig once you get it mounted!

I've mounted a Koplin Gun Boot to a Honda XR200 in the past, and it worked great. Make sure you get the one designed to bolt to an ATV. I mounted it horizontally on the side of the bike, with the barrel facing forward. You need to buy the case, hold it up the bike and find places to attach it. I had a 12-pound varmint rifle with a big scope on it, and it was fine.

Not that this helps... but I have been known to sling my rifle across my back and head to the range. I get some strange looks, and my wife is embarrassed. But I don't do that with as heavy a rig as you are using, just a deer rifle or a shotgun.

Rifle case for my WEE

I have an Eberlestock Gun Slinger backpack. It has a built in scabbard holder with cover and can carry all your other gear, spotting scope, sandbags, Kelstrel, and extra bullets. They make a larger backpack with a mat. The backpacks also have lots of options. I have had my pack for over 10 years and take it in and out of my patrol vehicle everyday. I have ridden to range with it on my back. Nobody has a clue what's inside the pack. I have my Remington 700 24" custom 308 in my bag with Leupold MarkIV
