should I buy soft luggage?

Hello to all: I have a DL650, 2006. I use it for daily commuting. I am thinking of the following luggage:a GIVI hard case for a the top case, and GIVI soft luggage for the saddlebags. Two ??: 1)does anyone know if the soft cases will be durable enough for daily commute:wind, rain, sleet, freezing, etc., and 2) should I buy SW MOTECH case brackets for the soft luggage? Thanks - Rob D.

I ride seven days a week and all I need for daily use are the Givi E21 sidecases. You see a lot of Strommers with the pizza delivery box. If you commute in all weather, I can't imagine soft luggage working for you. In my experience, soft luggage works well when it's fully stuffed, like on a road trip. Otherwise, it sags and looks ugly.
