GenMars

What's the best price found for the 1" up and 1 3/8" back risers. They're 109.00 on the manufacturers web page.

That's about what I paid for mine. It's easily worth $110, one of the best mods yet...

+1 for 'em... over 40,000 miles w/them on the Strom & I wouldn't even think of going back to stock bars.

Do they make it easier to fit a larger screen? Or is it purely comfort or both? BTW finished your 'Chronicles' Stromette last night, great reading. Thank you very much. Inspiring!

Not sure what "larger screen" you are referring to but I run the MPCycle Tall Touring screen. The risers were added purely for comfort. After doing the BBG1500 (report found here: http://www.seizethejourney.com/rideinfo/BBG1500.asp) the bars were a twisted evil item for me and risers were a MUST. Some riders would say "I think the bars are just fine, I don't have a problem w/them" and I agreed until I took my first loooooong run w/them. There is a line between "they are fine" and "I'm going to torch these bars" - you'll just have to find out where your level of comfort is and decide what is best for you.

Thanks for the nod on the Ride Reports. For even more reports click the link beside the orange words below.

www.amotostuff.com They have them for $98. It's not a whole lot cheaper, but your savings should cover the shipping cost.

Do you need to re-route cables when installing the 1" up and 1 3/8" back risers?

I did not need to reroute any cables but I will add that they were indeed a little snug. Since I added SS lines (clutch & brake) soonthereafter it became a non-issue.
