DIY Mods

I thought this could be a good place to start showing mods that are free/cheap.

Today I did my first oil change and since I was out there I also decided to change up a few things.
I cut my rear fender up to where the givi bracket was. I then relocated the plate holder tho where the light used to be. It looks decent and I'll pick up a plate light ( or these license plate bolts I saw the other day that had leds in them) when I get my plates.
I cut the peashooter out of my exhaust pipe. It gives it a little grrumble, a more throaty sound. But its not as loud as a slip-on which is fine by me.
I also cut my windscreen. I had been riding around for a week with the whole thing removed and it worked the best for me by far. So I chopped the stock one down and painted the inside of it black and covered the edges with door edge stuff. It works and looks good. If I ever go somewhere really far, I might buy a givi+madstad.

I know its bad form to make a post like this without picstures, but I'll have some up by the end of the weekend.

Next thing I might do is my own fender extender or backrest for my wife.

What year do you have? I would like to see a chopped windscreen from the newer models, if that's what you got.

How chopped do you want? Here's a shot of mine at -3 1/2". I cut to down to the point that it still, just, covers the little points of the dash.

As Promised

Here is the windscreen. I trimmed it down on the sides. It kinda follows the shape of the transformers emblem.

Pea shooter removal, I just put the dremmel inside the pipe and cut it from the inside.

Here are a few pics of the fender. I would have cut it shorter, but I thought it would look wierd withthe givi bar just hanging out back there.

Not pictured is the plug I had to put in my tire yesterday after finding a screw in it. But in the last pic you can see its still holding air.

Yup, the fender is shorter to say the least. What I noticed most is the neat tidy design of the Givi racks compared to the Shad set-up on my bike. If I was able to send pics I would just for the sympathy generated.

Weeeell ................no. But on the bright side, I did take it out of the box once and looked at it. I did use my El Cheapo Sure Shot a while ago and managed to take 24 exposures. Not to bad for a toy camera but I much prefer my old(really old)Pentax with a 28 mm. lense. Now that is a man's camera. Takes a real man to hold it up.

When you take your film camera pics in to be developed, have them put on a CD. Then transfer the pics to the computer and you can then upload yer pics 8)
