New GIVI Hardbags

Hi to everyone,
My name is Craig from GIVI USA, first off on behalf of myself and all of the GIVI staff we would like to say thank you to everyone here for your continued support of our products. I wanted to take just a moment and let everyone know that we have a new series of bags available for the DL1000 which are the V35 series, these bags are more streamline to the motorcycle and are tucked in a little closer. They are specific to our new PLX side mounts, these bags will not fit current GIVI side mounts. We have some information posted at our website, however if you would like to receive more information (pictures, pricing) please feel free to contact me via e-mail or phone. Again thank you for the continued support.

Best Regards,

Craig

Ok guys, I got a response from Chris at Givi. Here's the scoop and some pictures. Looks to me like the sample bike is my old Yamaha FZ-6, not a Strom, but we won't condemn him for it...will we?

Hi Jim,
The PLX528 mounts will be $170.00, again these will only fit the V35 cases, the V35 in matte black is $519.00 for the set, Satin silver is $560.00 and gloss black or silver is $580.00. Please see attached files for examples.

Best Regards,

Craig"

I like them 8) Will GIVI be making a larger version say like the E460 for those of us who literally live on our bikes??? I might consider these, but my next set otherwise will most likely be E460's

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback guys, sorry about not having a picture of them on the V-strom. In regards to the DL650 we apologize but at this time these bags will not be offered. The size of the V35 cases will only have this one option as of this time. I will be on the board from time to time, if anyone has any questions and I dont respond on here please feel free to contact me at the office. 877 679-4484, thanks again.

Regards,
Craig

Good news

It nice to see part being designed specifically for the DL1000. The 1000 has been a flawless performer and the new bags will make the bike look more together from the rear view. I always thought my current GIVI's look stuck on and out way too wide. It hard to justify new bags, but I like the look so much I may take the plunge.

What's the overall width when mounted on the DL1000? I have the E41s now and filtering is somewhat challenging with them mounted.
