Front fork preload

I finally got around to cranking up the preload on my front forks (k5 Wee).

I like the reduced front sag, but I've found a weird behavior that I wanted to ask about. It has taken me a week to figure out what the issue is, and I may have a hard time explaining it so bear with me.

When I'm leaning in a curve it feels like the handlebars/front wheel turn towards the side of the lean. In a curve I'm counter steering so the wheel isn't actually turning, it is more like the steering is flopping over somewhat. Does that make any kind of sense?

My forks have been lowered 15cm or so and the pre-load is set to have one more ring to go.

The bike feels a little more level with this setting, so I'd like to keep it. But, I'm wondering if my tinkering has upset the balance of the bike. I know that cranking the rear pre-load way up made the bike wander/wobble on the highway.

Comments?

Tinkering with bikes is what people do. If you like the bike handles leave it. If not change it.

Why do like the bike more level anyway?

650...Anything more than a handfull is wasted

Less pressure on the nether region, if you know what I mean.

I was actually hoping to lessen the front end dive a little if possible.
