Soft luggage spacer bracket for 650

I have a section of 1/2 inch electrical conduit and am in the process of bending it to make a bracket to allow my Nelson-Rigg soft bags to hang level and even. The mount to the left pax pegs bolts are easy but wonder where some of you are mounting the conduit to the rear fender. Can any of you post/send me close up photos of your various mounting methods to secure the pipe to the rear fender.

Check out the pics in my farkle contest post. It aint pretty - but it does the job!
I was going to buy a Dan Vessel bar, but I'm not sure if I'll stick with soft luggage.
