SW Motech Centerstand install

I need a suggestion for the type of wrench that can hold the spacer nut steady while tightening the screw that holds the spacer bushing on the exhaust attachment. I can't seem to fit anything in there. I was thinking an openend wrench might do it but I was wondering if there was a special one that you could get that would fit in the awkward clearances. Everything else went on fine.
Thanks,
-Brian

I had to go look; I forgot about that thing.

If I remember correctly, I just used a box end wrench on top and guided the piece with the allen from the bottom.

Box end wrenches usually have an offset or angled shank. That's probably what I used. The only access problem I remember was the top hanger allen bolt on the right side.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll go get a more complete set of box wrenches. I'm still a bit concerned as the few wrenches like that I had of simliar looking size (opened end and box) still had a tough time in the area despite the bend in the handle. Maybe I can find something of a lower profile.

I was able to get all the other bolts in, but the upper one on the right was impossible for me to get my torque wrench in to test it. Fortunately driving it wasn't too bad.

Thanks again,
-Brian

Combination (box and open) wrenches are usually flat. Some aren't though. Look at the end for an angle or offset that will work.

I recall wedging my largest flat tip screwdriver in there and using an allen wrench. Then I used the screwdriver to install the springs.

Thanks for the help. I got a new set of wrenches. They still didn't fit in the space available. At first I thought I was back to square #1 but finally I tried a 13mm open end side of my combo wrench on an angle. It seemed to work and the screw tightened down to where it needed to seat.
