As most of you know I'm pretty picky about being seen and I thought a pair of side LED marker lights would be perfect for the bike, especially for the sides where there arnt any active light sources. So if your coming at someone, and they kinda have a side view, they might miss you entirely. These are incredibley effective at increasing your side visibililty.
Most people are suprised when I tell them that these are not stock, so that says they look pretty good. Like usual digital cameras wont capture LED's brightness, but these are the same as you see on semitrailers. Very bright and distint.
I power them off the rear brake lights as that was close and convienent. I drilled small hole in the plastic, and routed the wires straight through, so that the lights would sit flat on the bike. Then used some plastic epoxy to make sure they wont move. Dont have to worry about bumping them either as the rear luggage racks protects them. Might not be very visible with passengers on back depending on their leg size but for everything else they will work great.
Total cost:
20 bucks for the lights, and about 2 hours of time.
Overall I'm very pleased with how they worked out, and think they shoudl be stock
Pics below
This is the bike. Can you find them?
The lights
Let me know what you think.
