Tw*sted Thro*tle disappoints--alu rack for sale.

Gotta gripe. Purchased $350 of SW Motech racks from Tw*sted Throt*le. The side racks are great. The adapter plate top box system is horrible (mounts the top box 2" above the vstrom rack, and the quick release system is wiggly--don't want my top box wiggling around).

So I un-assembled everything and bolted the quick release plate directly to my Strom--took several hours to work out, works fine and eliminates the quick release hardware and the Alu Rack. But that leaves me with a perfectly good Alu Rack.

Tw*sted Throt*le refused the Alu Rack return--"not in new condition"--although any evidence of use is on the underside, at the mounting holes--you would never even see it.

In my opinion Tw*sted Thro*tle should not recommend, nor sell this crappy top box system.

The Alu Rack itself bolts solidly to the vstrom--it is not the problem--the problem is with the quick release adapter plate which I solidly bolted to the bike.

So if anyone wants a perfectly good SW Motech Alu Rack (black) with all mounting hardware, I will get it to your door for $50, shipping included. I paid $75 plus shipping.

You need this one from Amotostuff.com! It freakin rocks!
Rock solid and the front to back adjustability for the passenger is awesome!

Hmmm.... Mine is rock solid. Are you sure you have everything assembled correctly? Instructions in German don't help.

We're referring to racks for mounting a topcase, which don't come stock on the bike. In here is a pic of the AMototStuff rack I'm running now (had the Givi for forst 25k mi but wanted the adjustability & great stability w/the alum racK): https://stromtrooper.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6536

bought the same rack from erik for my triumph sprint st. thru the directions in the trash, opened a yeungling lager and a newspaper on the garage floor for parts, and 2 beers later it was done. beeyouteafully made, cheaper than the triumph cast iron crap and really quite attractive. givi top box is rock solid. german technology=good, documentation=bad.

btw, have always had good dealings with erik, as well most other dealers of internet moto products (barb at alaska buttpads is the BEST) and TT can be frustrating at times on backorders.
