Madstad + Pat Walsh Shelf + Givi

I am fixing to pull the trigger on a madstad bracket. I have a pat walsh dash shelf, any clearance/interference issues here? What about with a standard 4.3" GPS on the shelf? I use a Givi shield in the winter, stock in the summer. Will probably get some mirror extenders too since the givi already hits em in tight turns. Thanks.

The shelf will keep the Givi screen from melting the dash. It's a good idea. The bounciness of the shelf will make the GPS pretty much unreadable. A stiffener is a good idea.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Thumbs up

Thanks for the links Greywolf. I do need to stiffen up the shelf, my GPS is kind of bouncy. I did it a little backwards, bought the Givi Screen first, melted my dash, then bought the pat walsh shelf to cover it up, then decided, hey I could mount a GPS up there, so I bought the Eastern Beaver cigarette lighter wiring kit, plugged in the GPS and mounted it, but it is bouncy so I stuffed some rags under there, helped but looks tacky. So now I decided to do something about the annoying turbulance problem and will order the madstad, now I just have to stiffen up the shelf. One day I will get it to the way I like it.
