Additional LED brake lights

I have read a few other posts on addition LED brake lights. Here's what I have found. I just ordered the ElectroPods. For $25, it seems worth a try to see if they will be sufficient. I called Aerostitch, and the salesman told me the do the same thing as the Hyper-lites. They flash red for 5 seconds as well.

Hyperlites $56 (1) 16 LED lightpod http://www.hyperlites.com/Vstrom.html
ElectroPods $25 (2) 8 LED lightpod http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/...s-p-16991.html
Life Bright $55 (2) 8 LED lightpod http://www.lifebrite.com/products.shtml

Once they come in, and if I can mount them properly, I will post my thoughts, and perhaps a picture. Anything in the name of safety.

Cool. A couple of pics would be sweet. LEDs are at the top of my farkle list but a bit higher in priority due to their safety factor. I need to order a couple of other things from aerostich too so that would work out great if these lights are ok.

I've got the hyperlites -- you'll be glad you hook them up once they get up and running. I really like them, and have noticed quite a large change with how other drivers react to me once I apply the brakes.

Wish You Were Here...

I finished installing my ElectroPods on the Strom last nightl. It took a total of two hours. One hour to drill holes and mount the two 8-LED lights to the license plate mount, and another hour to remove the seat, tail light casing, and wire up the lights. I am actually quite surprised at how well the process went.

The lights work well. They blink continuously when the brakes are applied. These ElectroPods may also provide the blinking for 5 seconds then turning solid red option, but I think I prefer the constant blinking. The salesman at Aerostitch told me they can do both options.

For $25, I am pleased with the ElectroPods and would recommend them.

Here are a few pictures of my set up.
