Tapered SH bearings

Does anyone know the bearing size and No for tapered steering head bearings. The bike shop can't get them so I'll try the bearing shop. Also how much are fork bushes in the USA, they want $25 each here, would that be right?

The bearing number is 32006. Get a pair of Japanese, European or American bearings if you can. I got Japanese SKFs. See http://www.skf.com/skf/productcatalo...did=1310002006 for dimensions. You'll need the lower seal too as taking off the stock lower race will destroy it. The part number 51644-12C0. As for the fork,
#5 BUSH, SLIDE 51121-03F00 $13.85
#10 BUSH, GUIDE 51152-13E00 $12.96

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

I'm planning on replacing the fork springs on my '07 wee with abs that has 34,000 miles on it and want to know what fork and steering stem parts I should consider ordering and having on hand before staring the project. Are there any of the other parts that will need to be examined after disassemble to see if they will need replacing? How does the "All Balls" tapered steering stem bearing kit that Adventure MotoStuff sells for $30.56 compare to the SKF bearings?

Thanks,

Jeff

The All Balls bearings are made in China. They are not held in the same esteem as bearings made in the countries I mentioned. That being said, the level of overkill in using tapered roller bearings in the steering head is huge. They don't move far or fast compared to wheel bearings and such. When I sent my forks to Traxxion Dynamics, they replaced #5, #10 and #8 when they changed to a cartridge damper. That should be all the wear parts that will make a difference.
