Stroking a wee

Don't get me wrong, I really like my wee, but it really could use a little more low to mid range torque. It is such an over square bore and stroke. Does anyone here have any experience with stroking a wee? Another 6mm of stroke should help quite a bit. It also would not increase the piston speed too much. Are there any aftermarket companies that supply cranks and rods for wees?

Thanks guys!

Keith

We all know that the DL motor is based on the SV-650's with a "tuned for mid-range" treatment. The SV 650 started life as a 400, which had a small bore and stroke increase to bring it to the current 645cc displacement. I think I read somewhere that it is almost as far as it will go, but you could google kits for the SV

Zlock Racing can build you a bigger engine. They recommend modification of the rods as the newer SV/DL 650 rods have failed on them.

Anyway, just admit it... you really don't want to do all that engine work when 996cc is just a trade away at your local Suzuki dealer. They have some great financing and will take your trade with a knowing smile. You know you want to. It's okay, it really is... 1000 owners are all nice people, too! I was just like you one year ago. A happy 650 owner wanting just a bit more power. Just a bit more torque. Oh, and that sound of 996cc through dual exhaust. And the memory of that first wheelie out of a corner that the 650 would never do. Yes, you need to trade that bike in and come join those who know, those who understand your lust for power and performance...

Sorry, couldn't help it.
