Emission Removal?

Does anyone have experience with removing the "smog valve" (PAIR system) and installing a blanking plate in it's place? I came across this product and I'm wondering if it's of any value:

Go hakafugu yourself.

It will have zero effect on performance. If you want to get a few hoses out of the way, pray your state never initiates emissions testing for bikes and don't give a damn about the environment, have at it.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

As stated above, you'll gain nothing from it. Should you move to a state that has emisisons testing, this could result in the loss of your bike. Removing any piece of smog equipment is a FEDERAL offense and it's how the cops cracked down on the Loud Pipes Save Lives HD crowd with their screaming eagle straight pipes.

Yes, I hate it as much as the next guy but I also prefer to be left alone and not have my machine seized because it violates FEDERAL clean air rules. We're already at the level where the feds try and regulate the flatulence of diary cattle, the methane release from old landfills and NOX emissions from lawn equipment and water heaters...they're playing for keeps. Leave your bike alone and ride it, that's my .02 worth.
