K&N air filter and PowerCommander question

Quick stupid question: a while back i heard something that when you install K&N air filter on the bike, you have to re-jet(??) it or something like that. Is it true? I will be installing PCIII in the next week or so, is there anything special that I need to PCII as far as config is concern or PCIII will "see" K&N as just a filter. I had looked at PC site and they dont have maps for K&N or any aftermarket filter. Just not sure if completly stock map from PC will work fine with K&N airfilter. Thanx

The stock map should work just fine with the k&n filter. If you go with new cans you will need to re-map. I don't remember what other maps come with the pc3 other than the one for the staintune cans. You will be very happy with the bikes improvement with the addition of a pc3. The low and mid-range performance improvement is dramatic.

I run w/a K&N and did not have to make any adjustments. YMMV.

FWIW, I am happy w/the K&N on the Strom.
