Compatible Brake Calipers - 4 Pot Upgrade

As a former Connie owner and frequent farkler, I know of someone who has been making adapter brackets for improving the C10 Concours brakes using other mftr / make / model calipers. I came across a listing of bikes that use the same Tokico brake calipers as the GSXR 600/750. Perhaps this info will expand the Ebay search parameters?

Cheers,
Craig

So you need the adapters, the ebay calipers, and then they just bolt on? Are they compatible with the existing master cyl and discs?

I had a ZZR1200 and loved the brakes! In fact I loved that bike in every way except the short dimension from seat to pegs, but mostly I loved that unbelievable motor!!! It was only a percent or two behind Hayabusa/ZX14, yet it was a bike often overlooked. Massive torque!!! No-shift, arm-straightening passes at the flick of the wrist.

Yup, adapters and some Ebay calipers and probably a good idea to get pads also.

They are a direct bolt on, master cylinder and discs remain the same.

Parts all ordered!

I found a pair of brand new (never seen the road) 2005 ZZR1200 Tokico brake calipers on eBay - they're on their way to me now. Pricey - $90 each caliper - but brand new with stock ZZR1200 pads.

Just ordered the caliper brackets, SS lines, and reservoir banjo bolt w/ bleed valve from Blair at SV Racing Parts. His communication and customer service has been exemplary so far.

After doing this same upgrade to my 2005 Concours (sold to buy the Wee), I'm looking forward to improved brake feel and response on the WeeStrom.

Once the parts all arrive here, and after Canada Customs has finished fondling them, I'll be spending a weekend wrenching and farkleizing "Pegasus." (named after the Battlestar of the same name...fugly, but purpose built).

Cheers,
C.

Thumbs up SV Racing Parts, Brake Caliper Adapter Brackets for 4 piston Tokico Calipers

Hi Everyone, I just completed a new run of the SV Racing Parts, Brake Caliper Adapter Brackets for 4 piston Tokico Calipers for us.

Thank you to Craig for posting up the list,

Couple of Things for everyone to know,

First, do not go to my ebay store and purchase those caliper adapter brackets for your DL650 or DL1000 Vstrom's. Those sets are not the ones I did for our bikes,

The ones for our bikes are only available directly from me, they come with special extra parts meant for our bikes specifically. They are a labor of love, Email me directly at [email protected]

I am also stocking all the correct Brake Pads for us including the rear pads, and the correct superb Galfer HH Sintered Pads for the Tokico 4 Piston Calipers. $35 per caliper set, so $70 total for the front calipers, they can ship with the Brake Caliper Adapter Brackets,

I also have the Lifetime Guaranteed Galfer SS Lines for our bikes, let me know if you have risers on your bikes, $89.95 for the fronts, $49.95 for SS Clutch or SS Rear Brake Lines, $10 Flat Rate Shipping to your door, anywhere in the USA.

This is a great brake upgrade for your bike, and very simple to do,

Let me know whenever you are ready, and I will get you looked after right away,

Enjoy the ride, and best regards,
Blair
