I have a centre stand on order. (Suzuki model)
For my DL1000

I want to lower the seat height with a set of links for the rear suspension
Don't want the stand to drag or to have any other handling issues.

Will the 3/4" lower rear end pose problems of any kind ?

I would also lower the front end around 3/4".

The stand cost you some ground clearance, but unless you do some serious off roading you shouldn't have a problem. Where you might run into a problem is cornering, because the Suzuki stand is wider than other options. A replacement feeler peg come with the stand for the bottom of the left footpeg. You will limit your left cornering some more by lowering the bike, but unless you drag knees on a regular basis it shouldn't be a problem. The only other stand option is the Motech, but it hangs 2" lower than the zuk stand, which really isn't and option with lowering links.

I have never dragged anything on my Strom. The stock Trailwings were wore right to the edge and nothing scraped for me. I now have Kouba Links which lower the bike 1 1/8 inches and the forks are raised through the triple tree. I'm currently within 1/4" of the edge of the ME880 I'm running and NOTHING has scraped. I don't offroad so loosing that clearance wasn't an issue for me
