Shock Upgrades

Hello!!

New to the forum. My wife and I have just bought 2 new 650's. I'm coming out of a 3 yr. retirement, and my wife just got her BRC certificate.

We pick up our V's next week, and in the mean time I've read a lot of positive reviews about the bike, with the exception of the suspension. I come from previously owning a `Busa and a GSXR-600 and I'm looking to maximize my suspension so I can have an experience somewhat close to my previous Suzukis in the twisties.

Can anyone recommend a good and fairly cost effective suspension upgrade? HyperTech springs a good investment??

Any feedback is much appreciated

Take Care

The Sherrif of Smart Ass City huh? You realize we will be expecting great, humorous things from you.

I'd say it might be worth riding it for a few miles to see how you feel about it. The Wee certainly has a different character than your Bus or GSXR. You may end up more worried about power than suspension.

Mind you, having too much brake dive, entering turn 3, during qualifying, could really hamper your Strom's lap times. (smart ass kick-off)

Thanks Heavy...

I'm well aware of the permanent horsepower brownout I'll be experiencing going to the "Wee" compared to my past machines. Heck my insurance, full coverage for the year was $174!! That's less than I paid a month for my Bus!!

Anyway, I will log a few miles before making any changes. I don't expect to be charging turns so much as just cutting through them at as high a speed that common safety will allow.

I expect good things from the Wee. At the very least I'll have a reliable V-twin. The last twin I owned was a "P"uell M2 Cyclone. Which 41 miles out of the factory had petroleum incontinence and an electrical coronary :x

Hey thanks for the reply. Have a Safe weekend!!
