Farkle!

Well, I've done it!

I finally finished putting on this year's Farkle! My bike should be called the Pasta Stroma, with all the Italian Farkle on it.

1) Givi Windshield - Love it, not buffeting, helmet shield stays up!

2) Givi Crashbars - Great look, easy to install, no vibration (Locktite)

3) Givi Luggage (Old farkle - 2004) E52 Maxia with Light kit and 2 E41 keyless - Great luggage, worth every penny.

4) K&N Air filter - Easy install, more "GRRR!", don't care about gas mileage as it is always good on a bike.

5) Removed secondaries - Best mod yet! No fart-stalls, better pick-up at ~3000rpm, better throttle response!

6) New plugs - didn't need it but I was there.

Now I need Mirror wideners and a set of Lambskin pads! It never ends!

Hate to admit it but not much riding. Out a couple weeks ago but the weather not cooperating fully. Just tinkering in the bat cave with flashlites. Installed power outlet under seat yesterday in case I need to use a compressor. I have the Givi bars but won't put them on until I finish wiring the driving lites, my project this week. Still waiting for side cases and gel seat.
Still have next to nothing for KMs, 3000. By theory this summer should be a lot more travelling around B.C. and over the Rockies to Edmonton. This of course depends on a fixed income and maaaaybe a paaaaaart time job.
Did you say you would be in Van. this summer? When? How long? Coffee?

Mileage

I bought this bike in late 2004, brand new, and I've averaged 10,000km/year since, which isn't bad given our inability to ride in the winter over here.

Cheers!

Don't worry about the miles, all these other, Super Mileage, guys are wearing their Stroms out too quickly anyway.

My wife and I are leaving Ontario on August 26th. We will just breeze through Vancouver as my brother lives in Victoria and we hope to spend some time visiting. We're not going to rush it and plans are to enjoy the trip. I've already got hotel reservations in Calgary for the long weekend so you can see we're not rushing. We will be flying back to Ontario on September 9th and the bike is being shipped home. We talked about riding out and back but 2 weeks just isn't enough time to do that and be tourists along the way.

Sounds like a plan. You can't play look and be in a hurry at the same time. But you will miss your bike until it gets home. lol. Ride Safe.

I know, I have real reservations about that part of it. Maybe, after 2 weeks straight in the saddle, I'll be looking for a break?
