Another windshield mod *Updated*

Well I finally got around to fitting the Burgman 650 screen on the Wee. Measured, marked, measured some more, taped, drilled, dremeled, and finally its on. And what a royal pain in the a$$ it was. But it was worth it, as it looks like it was made for the bike, as it lines up almost perfectly with the edge of the fairing. Except for one little problem. The mirrors contact it before you even get to full lock. But this was expected, so I ordered mirror wideners. Except they are on back order for 2 TO 3 WEEKS. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Will post pics of the screen with the mirror wideners when finished.

Did you ride it after the install while waiting for the mirror extenders? If so, did it help with buffeting, noise, etc?

Ok, heres some pictures.
I took these from the view of being on the bike so you can see how big this screen really is.
First is the stock screen in the highest positon. Then the Burgman screen in the lowest position, which is probably where I'll keep it as I can still see over it. And then in the highest position, which is really tall.

The next picture is from the front with the Burgman screen in the lowest position.

I still haven't test driven it because I haven't received the mirror wideners, and till I get them I can't leave the screen on. I can't lock the steering with the screen on and I have to park the bike outside.
After I receive the mirror wideners I will post a review of them and the screen with pictures of both, and performace results of the larger screen.

Please post pics taken from another point of views (e.g. the front). I am also interested in how it works in practice.
Can you look over the screen?
How about buffeting?
How sensitive the bike for crosswind?

Please do not let us wait.

I've been riding with this setup for nearly a year now and can definitely attest to a major improvement over stock shield. I'm 5'8" and set at its lowest position, I can see over the shield without and problems. There is still a little bit of buffeting at that setting but not enough to be a nuisance. If I raise the shield I can pretty much eliminates all of the buffeting but then I wind up looking through it and I don’t like that. This is definitely a great alternative to spending upwards of $150 with pretty much the same end result.

BTW: SpongBob, Looks like you did a great job! Even though the mirrors hit the shield, the shield will flex enough to allow a full lock turn.

Was it a tuff job? Looks good, you did a great job! Do you think it would work on the 061K? I am only asking cause I have been looking for a screen and don't want to look through one either.
