Gas Cap mount for tank bag

Hi folks,
Anyone know where I can get just the mount.
Seen this option but can't remember where. Searched this site and found a link to Twisted throttle. It shows the mount but it seems you have to buy a bag to get it.

I'd like to add something like a Pelican 1120 and attach the mount myself..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ken

Call TT. I'm sure you can get it by itself even though it's not set up to be ordered that way.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

They are SW Motech / Bags Connection items.

There are two parts.

The part that mounts onto the tank (the adapter ring) is bike specific and you purchase the correct item for your bike.

The part that goes on the bottom of a tank bag (the socket) is generic it will fit all the bike mounts and is supplied with each bag.

I have never seen the sockets for sale by themselves. SW Motechs web site does not list them as a separate item. I suspect that you will have to find somebody with a SW Motech tank bag they no longer use and nab the socket off the bottom of it if you can't get any joy from TT.

EDIT:
Think through the Pelican box idea carefully. Mounting something like that on top of the tank is a sure way of ensuring that you will not add to the worlds population (or worse) in the event of an accident where you go over the bars.

Never really considered the worst case scenarios, but I supposed you right.
Couldn't see this being too bad.....

Unlike the size of these two.....

I'd like too have an 1120 gas cap mounted but if I can't get that to work I'll mount a 1060 across my handlebars.
