Anybody know of Led turn signals on a stalk or flush mount that are plug in for an 05 dl1000?

Hi there OnOneWheel. I am going to assume you want things brighter and reasonably straight forward. I ended up with this combo. 50 watt halogen bulbs in the front(aka extra bright back-up bulbs) and LED's out back. The rears are about the same brightness. I also plan on putting reflective tape in all 4 signal housings. This combo draws approx. same wattage so the flasher doesn't get all silly and quit or go up in smoke. Hope this helps.

Picked up a couple of amber LED lights that fit at my local PepBoys for about $4 each. The light is a little brighter then OEM but does have a narrower broadcast spectrum.

LED turn signals

I got LED turnsignal bulbs from superbrightleds.com. I bought the white 19 LED bulbs and they're plenty bright. I also got the 50 watt bulbs - they are super bright, but I won't install them. This past weekend I installed flush mount turnsignals I got from eBay. The wire to the turn signals is very light gauge - like telephone wire. I'm afraid of melting wires or frying electronics. The new flush mount signals will require a 9 LED bulb in amber.

More resources if you are looking to install LEDs

I am heading down the same path. Try these:

In short, if you install LEDs, you need to compensate for the reduction in load that LEDs have over traditional bulbs. One way is to add more draw with the remaining bulbs. Another is to add aload management module in line. There are several types of modules offerred, example:

Note that there is a difference between the early 650Ks and the K4 and beyond.

Good luck.
