Bar risers for 2009 DL650 with ABS

I just purchased a new to me 2009 DL650A. My last bike was a 2005 DL650 and I tried to move my bar risers over but it's a no go because the brake line on the newer bike is too short. Can anyone recommend a riser that fits the 09 without having to replace the brake line?

I've been thinking about adding bar risers to my K7 DL650A but don't want to mess with the brake lines. I am pretty sure that the Rox risers on the ABS models require a longer brake line. See Note for Suzuki DL650 V-Vstrom I am thinking of trying bar risers from Advanced Motorcycle Products because its only 1.25" rise and 5/8" or 1" rear offset which is less than the Rox risers so maybe I can get those in without a brake line swap. I don't know if they will work but feel free to go first!

If you have to get longer brake lines, I recommend Speed Bleeders to make getting the lines charged easily.
I got mine from .. kirby fleming <[email protected]>.
Fast shipping and they worked as advertised.

The 2" ROX bar risers are doing well after I cut down an Allen wrench to fit into the tight spacing to tighten all bolts. But I did have to change the brake line(s) so I could have the full range of bar adjustment.

Where the line down and the one out to the front caliper connect to the ABS plumbing is a PITA to work on. I used a Galfer kit and I'm not completely happy with the bolting system where they anchor to a bracket right above the radiator. It's a good idea to remove that bracket to afford yourself some extra room to access the ABS plumbing connections to the flexible brake lines.

The OEM brake line "block" terminals were threaded but Galfer is just a smooth hole through the block and they provide a bolt and a simple nut rather the a "nyloc" nut or a lock washer. I goobered it up with blue threadlocker but eventually want to add nyloc nuts to their bolts.

All other aspects of the kit where satisfactory except their recommendation to reuse the original protective rubber sleeve on the crossover brake line (anchors in middle of fender in the back). The OEM rubber sleeve appears to either be securely glued or melted on to the crossover line. No way it is coming off, besides its inside diameter would be too large for the smaller Galfer lines. I did reuse the split push-pin strap around the crossover line, so the line isn't flopping around if it would.

I was out yesterday for 175 miles of mostly macadam but 20 miles of dirt / gravel and I like the bar position but I now have to reposition the tank bag since a hard left turn (parking lots) drives the horn button into the bag and it "beeps" and everyone looks at me in disgust

I was able to put 2" ROX risers on mine without replacing the lines. I did have to rig the lines to be held with thigh zip ties to give them range of movement (about .5 inch variance) from stock positioning and still have full range of movement. I can take pics later if needed.
