Wiseco vs power commander

I am in the need of a fuel management controller. Seems like most use Power commander. Can someone shed some light on the difference from the Wiseco and Power commander, other than the Wiseco is much cheaper even though it is a good brand.

I'm not familiar with the Wiseco. However, many Strommers turn to the PC 3,4 or 5 units to solve a very simple problem. Like using a computer as a hammer. PC makes a fuel controller, the PCFC. It's much cheaper, uses the same programs or can be programmed uniquely as well. I'm very happy with my PCFC. Call them and ask them about the difference and you will see that a PCFC has all the functions that the others have which a Strom could possibly use.

It would be helpful if you told us which Strom you are talking about. I trust it's the more troublesome 1000, prior to about 2012. If that's true, also consider a spark advancer that replaces the stock key on the crankshaft at the rotor/flywheel. I used the 4* one from Power Pro or something similar to that. It improves both performance and mileage. But if you are running lean, don't install it until you have fixed that problem as you could burn a piston (though unlikely).

thanks guys. I ordered the wiseco. From what I have read, it works about like the PCFC but a lot cheaper. I will post the feedback once it is installed. I know Wiseco has been a dependable name in the piston and hotrod market forever, so Im gonna give em a shot. Thanks again.
