SV Racing Parts Frame Sliders install

Just a heads-up - you will need two 17mm and two 19mm sockets to do this install, with two socket extensions, and with one of the 19mm sockets being a deep one.

Just opened the package from Blair today and was thinking about getting started.

04 DL650, 18k+ miles, lowered, grip heaters, hand guards, touring laminar lip, trunk, soft saddlebags (when needed), aprillia mirrors, frame&swingarm sliders, fork brace, skid plate

With the proper tools it's a 10-minute job. They seem to be pretty high-quality.

You win... took me 15 minutes.

Got by with standard 19mm sockets rather than a deep-well. Just partially inserting the extension bar into the socket allowed the bolt to come thru the drive hole enough, but it still depends how deep the standard socket is, so may not work for all.

That never occurred to me! I see that it would work. That is what you call a lack of mechanical inclination...
