HELP! Cycra Handguards

I just got Cycra probend handguards....

Has anyone had any luck installing these on a DL650? It seems like there is not enough room on the handlebars for the UClamps, especially on the throttle side (brake, brake cable, throttle cables, brake fluid reservoir).

And if I move the UClamps closer to the center of the bike, the handlebars have a bend there...and then the UClamps won't align to the probend bars.

Also, I have to take out the handlebar sliders (the metal rollers at the end of each handlebar) for the probend pieces, but it doesn't leave enough clearance for the brake lever to pull all the way.

Thanks

I eventually got them fitted. Took me like 3 hours...most difficult part was trying to keep the handlebar stock end weights on. I gave up.

I just have that little end bolt contraption that came with the Cycra guards. Is it just supposed to stick inside the bar ends without anything really holding them in? (Except for on the other end, where it's bolted to the u-brace on the bar itself.)

When I tightened down the bolt for the part in the handle bar end; it held that side of the bar in place without any issues. I had an easier time with the clutch side than the throttle side.

When you say you tightened the bolt....do you just mean you tightened it so that it held the other 2 pieces together?...making it form an 'L' shape?

The L shape is there, I'm guessing, to "hook" into the open end of the handlebar. I'm guessing you're not actually mounting the end of the handlebar to the probend bar in any way besides just sticking the 'L' shape in there...is that right?

You are talking about the part that goes into the end of the Handle Bar Correct?

There is a expander style nut that will expand to take up the space inside of the bar which secures the end.

You should be able to mount the other end with the U clamped L bracket onto the handle bar.

Set everything up loose and tighten it down slowly and adjust where you want things to be. I did have to move in my brackets (Clutch & Brake) in some to make room inside of the guards.

That's what I did..

Yep, that's what I meant.

Are you telling me that those expanders can expand to the diameter of the hollow stock handlebars? That seems crazy. That means it would have to grow like twice it's size at least.

And...my ends don't go at a 90* angle into the handlebar ends....more like a V than an L...I'll say around 60*.
