Falkling my new ride

Hey guys. I'm new here but pretty active on the ADV site. I just took possession of a brand new V last week, mainly for 2 up cruising and carrying camping and hiking gear. I have a KTM 950 but felt that I was burning up a superior dirt bike on pavement so I'll make a choice depending on the terrain I venture to.
Ok, I need advice. I'm looking for a bash plate and tank guards. I want advice on the best, not the cheapest. The lower parts of the strom house some vulnerable parts and I will be riding a lot of gravel roads and do not want to puncture an oil filter or cooler. I may make my own if I don't get the kind I want. I'm looking for the Africa Twin type, complete coverage and tank guards to match. Here is my Africa Twin, so you get an idea of what I'm looking for.

Just to be sure, did you get a V (1000) or a Wee (650)? It makes a difference for some recommendations.

A DL1000. Sorry about that...

Fwiw

I recently put engine guards and centerstand from Murph's (Google "Murph's Kits) and am very happy with the quality. I passed on the skid plate (all pavement here) but I know he sells a CStand-Engine Guards-Skid Plate combo for a reasonable price. Also, a Fender Extenda (?) is a cheap, good addition. Congrats on the new bike.

The best? Go with Touratech But you knew that, right? I went with the bar/plate combo from Adventure Motostuff and am quite happy. They just did a mod to the plate that I would consider an upgrade. Good luck, and let usw know what you do.
