Finished farkling...for now

Too much, too soon. Only had my new-to-me 12 DL1K for 3 weeks and went kind of wild.

I wanted highway pegs and researched my options. Every pair of pegs I found required crash bars, so I researched crash bars. Found that all the skid plates also required crash bars, so I researched skid plates. Economics got involved a bit and I found that a steel Enduro Guardian skid plate with highway pegs and Givi crash bars became a relative bargain as opposed to other makes. Now I can stretch out my legs. Getting that sidestand out of the way was a real PITA.

Bought an AdventureTech fork brace, a Tutoro auto oiler, plus mirror extenders, sidestand foot, and a few other bits. All I really wanted to do was to have a better view in my mirrors. Amazing what you buy when the mood strikes.

I knew I needed a center stand for mx and such. Found one on eBay. That was an easy add.

Got a tank cover off eBay, too. Don't want my jacket zipper scratching the tank.

Last thing I needed was to move the top case rearward so the wife would be more comfy. Bought an OEM mount off eBay and modified the original one, then bolted it to the newbie and installed it on the bike. Now the wife has about 4 more inches of space. Just have to make sure I stay cognizant of what I put in the top case when we're riding. Seems very stout.

Only other things I'm considering are an AdventureTech shelf for some cigarette lighter ports and a PC-8 for safe power connections. Other than that, I think I'm done.

Best to get it all done quickly like you did so you can ride. My farklefest has really cut into my riding time....should have waited until winter to buy a new to me bike
