Zero Gravity windscreens for the '02-'03 1000?

I'm the new owner of an '03 Strom with the taller Suzuki screen, but the
noise & buffeting still seems pretty annoying to me. I've seen the ZG screens and like the looks. They have 3 options to choose from and they seem reasonably priced. Does anyone have any feedback to offer on effectiveness? Thanks!

The ZG was better than stock for me at 5'10", but wasn't great. It wasn't so much buffeting but that the wind noise was higher and actual weather protection was less. I couldn't keep my faceshield open at speeds above around 35.

In looking around at other options I found the MRA Vario shield from a site that can't be named apparently and find it a much better shield, still not perfect, the bubble of calm is about 1" too low at speeds above 60mph with the upper part of the sheild adjusted to its highest position to ride with the face shield open but it is quiet, no buffeting and looks good IMO. I am looking into making some slightly extended "legs" and trying those but it hasn't been a pressing issue for me.

Hardbags

Brad,
I agree...nice bike...beautiful picture.
Are those Givi bags on your bike? If so, what model? If not, what make and model? :?:

Thanks, Hoppy

Givi E21's, small enough to not get in the way and large enough to travel for a week (with the trunk) or 4 days without it. The mountain is the SE side of Mt St Helens on the lahar plain. Rarely visited by most, nice place to ride or hike.

I bought a used 03 1000 and it had a 'tall' zero gravity screen on it. I am 6'-0" and the buffeting from the screen was more than I could bear especially at highway speed. I replaced that screen with a 26" Cee Baileys and there is a world of difference. The buffeting is gone and much better protection from from the sides also. I am not crazy about the way it looks, but the functional aspects outweigh that IMO.
