Installed Pelican 1430's, Not Good

more holes than i needed, this pic was only first set of holes messed, up anyone have any idea what to fill the holes with

New SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock EVO Carrier, says to move rear blinkers I didn't do it, now i know why you need to move them

Anyway i am not happy with the results, I am thinking of making the left case a tool box, and buying a new case and starting over, one problem is that the left rack is different than the right rack, right case fits awesome, left side does not, i have to spend more time, i guess i am am going to unbolt it and move the rear blinkers,

I've used stainless button head allen bolts to fill in unwanted holes.

You installed the cases with the lids facing the wrong way...

If you put the hinges on the outside, then you'll avoid that issue.

There is information on the Pelican site regarding the correct type of glue that will work on the material in question.

Otherwise, since you're just plugging holes, so use silicone or JBWeld or epoxy.

I used the side case on the right to mark my holes to drill, the right side case sticks out further than the the left due to the exhaust, I did not take that in to account, the first time i mounted on the left side, it did mount, but it was at a different angle and didn't match.

as for mounting the wrong way, I tried to match csr67 what he did. He had older racks, but they same brand, and his cases open up fine.

I am thinking about getting some steal tubing to space out the case better

Sikaflex 150 contruction adhesive, black.

Comes in caulking tubes.

Find a bunch of other stuff that needs sealing when you open it.

Used it to fix a long leak in a plastic dirtbike fuel tank held up for two years until he sold it.

Sent from my Hewlett-Packard 75C, using the Flying Merkel motorcycle app.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like one more should do the trick.
