Need help installing crash bars

Hey Guys,
I recently purchased and received some Fehling crash bars that I began to install the other day. When I tried to remove the 6mm hex bolt from the frame, the damn hex socket snapped in half and the bolt didn't even budge. :bom_veryangry2:
So today, I buy new hex sockets and try the whole process over again. This time, I'm paying close attention and I can feel the hex socket starting to fatigue and give. WTF? Does the factory use red loctite on these bolts?
So before I break another hex socket, do any of you guys have a better way of getting the damn hex bolt out without breaking the socket or the bolt itself?
Thanks for the help

Use a better quality tool, make sure you're rotating counter-clockwise and if all else fails, try a moderate tap with a ball-peen hammer (poor man's impact wrench). You're trying to breakfree a cheap bolt that probably has a little corrosion action going on.

There probably is thread locker involved. Heat is the cure for that. It also helps with corrosion but those bolts are stainless steel and that should not be a problem.
