Givi E-52 Installation Woes

Just got the Givi E-52 top case and having some installation issues with the SWMotech Quick Lock adapter plate. The self tapping screws that screw the cam locks into the rack don't tap so well. They go in crooked and lose bite before the cam lock is flush with the rack. Would lock tite work with this kind of application? Very frustrating to get farkles that I can't install. Can anyone help. I have a feeling this will be an easy one for you guys.

I installed the Givi E52 topcase not too long and did not encounter the problem you describe. I used locktite on these screws but don't use it until you get them to go in straight. I do not remember if these were self tapping screws however. Is there any paint or other junk in the holes that prevents the screws from going in? What I realized later is that using locktite on small screws like this might make it rather difficult to get them out if need be.
