SW Motech center stand - spring failure

I've purchased my SW Motech center stand less than 3 months ago. It had been working flawlessly until yesterday. While on the highway, both springs failed causing the center stand to drag until I could safely pull over. I was able to secure the stand using the cord from my ear buds (no zip-ties at the time).

When I got home, I inspected the entire center stand, and there was nothing loose or broken except the springs.

Has this happened to anyone else? I left a message with Twistedtrhottle regarding the failure, and am hoping I can get replacement springs quickly.

There was a problem with springs failing years ago. Different springs were substituted around the beginning of 2006. I've not heard of any problems with the newer springs.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
