speed check

g/day boys, how do you fix the speedo after fitting a 16 tooth front sprocket on 2015 wee strom? reason is that the sender is on the end of the output sharft i think.

Going to a 16T actually fixes the speedo. It's optimistic in stock configuration and becomes accurate with the change. The odometer will show less than the actual distance traveled though. There is no convenient way to make both accurate as the speedo and odo operate off the same sensor and the odo is much more accurate in stock configuration.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.

I have a couple GPS on the bike and trust them to tell the truth. Rumor on the forum is that the stocker, on the older versions, is about 7 mph high.
If the newer bikes are the same, it's a safety feature to preserve your Ins costs from speeding tickets.
