They may fit the main frame, but that's all. Everything else that attaches to the sub frame, seat, luggage rack, fender etc is different.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

My wonderful Glee broke loose from my carrier on my TT after a semi blew by me and sent my travel trailer into a violent sway, almost lost the RV. I didn't know the bike was gone until I stopped to clean my undershorts. One of the tie down welds gave way and away it went. Trying to asses if it's repairable. All the fairing is destroyed, cluster, handlebars, controls, rear sub frame bent..... Frame, front end and swing arm straight.
Thanks for the info.

Wow, I don't come here much since I sold my Wee a few years ago. Now I see Greywolf is hanging it up. I am 59 and I have been loosing my motivation to work on and ride bikes for a few years. I still enjoy riding at deals gap and some around local most with my wife. But I certainly understand where your coming from. Now that I have lost my Glee to circumstance I don't feel like going through the monumental tasks to rebuild, or repurchase and all the "stuff" that goes along with the trip preps. I never ride long distance, I trailer and that is getting tiresome. My main passion is building and riding my old 2 stroke kawi triples but that has lost it's "excitement" too. Long distance riding for me was never much fun. The few times I have done trips with my bikes it was just torture. Highway riding is retired gold wingers and the best gold wing only comes close to 4 wheels IMO. Yep, at some point you have to ask yourself if all the energy, time and money are worth the effort. I would say the realization that your done with it is a sign of wisdom. ie knowing whats best for you. I'll leave it to you to know what to replace it with. Maybe nothing....maybe quiet time, maybe a garden. It doesn't have to be replaced, just let go. Sounds like you have done that with grace. Good luck to you.
