Aftermarket Exhaust/ w Givi Luggage

I just added Give luggage to my 05 Dl1000, E21s and V46. I am looking at adding aftermarket pipes, but Givi reccomends against this as it may be too hoot and damage the bags. I have been looking at the Leo Vinci and Remus exhaust. I was thinking of adding a removable heat shield, the the tubular mounts when running teh bags. However before I do this, has anyone running either of these exhausts had nay problem with heat on the bags?

I have the factory set up made by Kappa with Scorpion pipes. Seems to be fine. The paniers set the bags out away from the bike.

Come back with you shield or on it!

I have Givi side cases and Two Brothers pipes. I paid particular attention to any noticeable heat effects on the insides of the cases - have seen none. I thought about getting some heat reflective tape for the inside of the cases, but I think there is enough air gap between pipe and case - as long as you don't sit idling too long!
