GIVI E52 wire routing

I just installed an E52 with integrated light. I had no idea where to run the wire so I just routed it under the mounting plate and then in through the seat opening (under the seat). seems the seat may pinch/cut the wire this way. Is there a better way to get the wire into the interior tail-light area with drilling a hole?

If you have side cases (even if you don't) you can run the wiring underneath the box then down thr left side by the hand grip and underneath. If you have side bags you can zip tie the wiring to their support brackets for increased security. I didn't zip tie mine and it has not moved. You have to look for the wiring because the brackets actually hide it. You may wish to use a little silicone to hold the interior wiring in place, mine used to get caught in clothing in the top box until I did the same. Also put some diaelectric grease on the contact...it corodes easily.

Just did the same install today..

I looked and looked and looked..finally said sod it, took the rear fender off and flipped it over, drilled the hole right through to where the wire wanted to be, the tail light, with the fender off it was a doddle to get the vampire taps connected. As you have to take the plate off now and again to get to the tail wiring and bulbs, I cut the GIVI cable as shown and cut in a pair of molex connectors. I sealed the backs of the molex connectors with silicone aquarium seal, and weatherproofed the connector with dielectric grease. I tie wrapped the givi side connector to a stand off on the AMOTO plate, and it's all neat, hidden, and doesnt move. Took me a couple of hours all told to do the whole GIVI mounting plate, wiring, and top box. (Made much easier by pulling the fender).

well that sounds the the ultimate way to go. It is pretty hard working on connecting the wires with the fender on. I also had some trouble egtting the connectors supplied by Givi to make good contact. My first thought was to cut the wires and use wires nuts. Molex is a great idea. Nice job. My wire is still dangling through the seat opening.

Without drilling you can run the wire along the right side of the bike. Just in front of the turn signal there is a cutout that lets the wire into the seat area. You can tie the wire to the turn signal stalk and it is pretty much invisible.
