Busted brake lever - 2013 DL650

I tipped over my 2013 DL650A Adventure and broke a short section off the front brake lever. I have been looking for a replacement and considering an upgrade while I am at it. However, most parts I have found say they fit 2011/2012. Will these levers fit my 2013?

It seems that 2012 and 2013 should be the same fit but I haven't been able to confirm it.

Also, should I just get the Barkbuster Handgaurds or are there other hand guards worth considering (i.e. Acerbis, etc)?

Another thing you can do is put Teflon plumbers tape under the perch, this will allow your master cylinder to spin in a crash, this will save your leaver, master cylinder and mirror in the event of a big get off

It looks like Suzuki part number 57300-44G12 interchanges with the brake lever for the 2011 and 2012 DL650 and some others.

Part number 57300-44G12 supercedes 57300-44G11 and 57300-44G10, so it will interchange with the earlier part numbers.

Many of these "what fits what" questions can be answered by browsing one of the online parts diagrams (I use onlinecycleparts.com -- they're local to me and the online fiche is fantastic). Many also include a way to search by part number, and the results will tell you what models the parts are used on. Suzuki's engineers are masters of parts bin engineering, so you'll normally find that a part is used for many years on many different models.

2002 Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom, Dark Metallic Space Blue
1983 Suzuki GS850G, Cosmic Blue
2005 KLR685, Aztec Red - Turd II.2, the ReReTurdening

Thanks. I will definately order the OEM part. I may try an aftermarket that fits the 2012 on my 2013, as long as the vendor has a good return policy.
