BT-020's on a 1000

I've seen a couple of posts where people were considering moving from a 150/70 to a 160/? profile.

Has anyone actually done this yet, or is the general concensus to stick with the recommended 150/70?

I am running the 160 and I like it. It will make the steering a little quicker due to raising the back of the bike. I do mostly pavement but have also done about a 30 mile stretch of hard packed gravel with some nasty bumps and rocks and had no problems with the tires other than BT-020s being slippery in those conditions. I have read about concerns with the 160 possibly being too wide for the rim but for me that has not been a problem in any way. I have a couple thousand miles with the 160.

Sounds good, what is the profile you're using on the 160?

Much appreciated. When my naff Trailwings wear out, I'll be going for the 020's with a 10 on the rear. Are you using the standard 110 on the front?
