Clutch engages too quickly on Wee

My clutch engages too quickly and so doesnít allow slippage. Which isn't a problem unless Iím trying to creep at about 5mph or starting from a complete stop (stalls the engine if Iím not paying careful attention).

Can it be adjusted for better play? And if so, How?

The position at which the friction point occurs in the lever travel can be adjusted using the adjuster by the lever pivot. The span over which the engagement takes place cannot be adjusted. That just takes practice. I'm very happy with the clutch action on my bike compared to others I've owned.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

.....and the clutch engages further out than I would prefer. It engages at about a quarter inch from full release. Very irrirating.

Thanks. I can live with and easily get use to the tight engagement, but not the engagement point. Quess I better do a better job of reading my manual.

Try revving the motor (to generate a gyroscopic effect), pulling the clutch in more and dragging the back brake. It should work fairly easily on this bike, especially if you maintain an upward forward gaze.
