SW Motech Center Stand - rear tire clearance?

Hi guys,

Just finished torquing the Motech stand's bolt and while setting up the spring I noticed the stand's foot clearance with the rear tire "edge" is not equal on each side.

The left side (side stand side) as about 2" space between the foot to the usable edge of the rear tire; while the right side only as about 1/2".

Is this normal or i screwed up some adjustment per the fine mounting instructions...

[yeah I got the exploded assembly diagram and that's pretty much it]

Just checking if I need to go back to it and slack the bolts and add some shims or if it's normal.

I do think 1/2" is too close for my liking; But I don't know how much the tires deform while cornering once at temperature.

Thanks,

-G-

I installed mine tonight and had the same issue. It's slightly off center as well but it's stable. I took it all off and tried to change the spacers around to center it better. But to no avail and one smashed pinky (rubber stopper & frame stopper) later I put it back the way I had it. Not thrilled about the space thing. I bought mine off of ebay and there were only 3 spacers. But I never throw anything away and I found a spacer from something else and a washer to make up for it. Ug egay!

So any info on this? I don't speak commie so no clue about the directions.

That's a big girl. Mine tips the scales at about 80 lbs. I got her from the pound and she may have some mix in her, but I doubt it.
