Okay, it's moved. It's hard to stop well without them. What else?

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

I have a Chinese knockoff on the rear and find no difference in stopping distance or feel. That said, they are not quite as thick as OEM. Stock is 5.0mm and the knockoff is 4.8(Manual says replace at 4.5).

Not sure if these will fit my bike but curious about the different styles I see. Is it mainly just for looks?

Looks partially and design partially. The top ones you posted are floating....they are riveted to the center carrier in 6 places and allow expansion without warping. The bottom one is a one piece design and can warp if it gets hot enough. Floating discs are better.

The bike comes with floating discs in the front.
