Seat lowering by remoulding
As I'm short, the height of the seat is an important factor for me. I have the lower factory seat and lowering links. All is good when riding with a load, but I would prefer to sit lower and have the suspension higher.
I have had a suggestion that I could remould the seat using a hot air gun. I have a panel-beater who's willing to give it a go. I'm a bit concerned because of either damaging the seat beyond repair or rendering it unsafe - but only finding out in a critical situation.
Has anyone got any experience of doing this or any ideas?
There's nothing I can't do, but there's a lot I won't do.
SUZI - I'm in love with her, but I'm afraid she's taking me for a ride.
SUZI - she dumped me, I was hurt, but we're both recovering now. We'll be going out together again once we're both feeling better.
We're both better now, but with heated grips, SUZI's now hot stuff!
Alas, poor SUZI [DL650 L2A 2012 - 2015 R.I.P.], I knew her well. After being dumped a second time, I must farewell her.
I'm not flighty, but SUZI II [DL650 L5A] has now stolen my heart.
