TRE on '05 stock DL1000- my results
Wanted to pass this on to anyone considering Ivan's TRE to get rid of low end stubles. I have a completely stock '05 that had the 2500-3000rpm lean misfire from the first time I rode it with 0 miles. Synched the throttle bodies, adjusted TPS, etc, with no change 800 miles later.
Before I bought the Power Commmander or went to a dealer to do a re-map, I figured I woud try the $110 TRE. There is a noticable improvement in response, it still idles perfectly, and for the most part the 3000 rpm stuble is gone. Still runs lean at 2500-3000rpm, and as a lot of you have pointed out a Power Commander (or similar) would solve this. I don't plan on putting on pipes or other mods, so I'm going to stick with the TRE.
